Purpose of role:
Prescient Fund Services are seeking an experienced AML Manager with solid AML experience at review / management level, to add depth and support to the AML operations team. We are particularly interested in individuals that have exposure to multiple aspects of the AML process e.g. account preparation and review, investor screening, transaction monitoring, system migrations, ad hoc projects and remediation exercises. Experience working on more complex AML reviews are an advantage e.g. Companies with complex ownership structures, Trusts, Collective Investment Schemes etc. Experience working on EDD reviews beneficial but not mandatory.

Duties and responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary escalation point for a comprehensive range of AML/KYC activities, while overseeing daily AML/KYC operations performed by the Onboarding team within Investor Services.
- Lead the Onboarding team’s daily functions, ensuring all deliverables are completed with accuracy and punctuality, and consistently uphold outstanding service standards for clients and internal stakeholders by minimising errors and delivering high-quality results.
- Review, complete, and update checklists and system records to confirm task completion and seamlessly adapt to evolving workflows.
- Ensure investor screening and ongoing monitoring are performed with precision and within required timeframes, facilitating prompt communication or escalation of issues from the Onboarding team to internal and external stakeholders as needed.
- Manage the daily Transaction Monitoring process for all administered funds, ensuring any issues are addressed in accordance with established procedures.
- Supervise and mentor direct reports through regular one-on-one meetings and annual performance reviews, fostering professional development and promoting pragmatic, scalable, and solutions-oriented approaches in daily tasks.
- Oversee multiple concurrent projects, including static data clean-ups, investor migrations, FICA remediations, technical enhancements, and procedure reviews.
- Contribute to the development, updating, and review of evolving internal AML and KYC procedures and processes, ensuring alignment with regulatory expectations.
- Oversee periodic jurisdictional reviews, update risk categories, and ensure compliance with departmental and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare, review, and distribute internal and external reports—such as AML statistics for board and regulatory reporting—ensuring all documentation is both accurate and timely.
- Ensure FATCA/CRS compliance by verifying investor information accurately.
- Support audit and regulatory activities by collating and validating required samples as needed.
- Participate in the Client Due Diligence (CDD) process, with a particular focus on high-risk clients.
- Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a Managerial role within the AML function, with proven people leadership capabilities in an operational environment.
- Comprehensive understanding of AML, KYC, Investor Services processes and associated functions, with a solid grasp of the regulatory landscape and expectations.
- Highly effective research skills using all relevant information sources, including external resources.
- Ability to assemble research and produce clear, accurate findings.
- Ability to analyse issues and draw/express conclusions succinctly.
- Ability to use internal precedents and draft clear emails.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience engaging effectively with clients, investors, and senior management.
- Background in system migrations and a track record of driving operational improvements through technical innovation.
- Relevant degree and/or International Compliance Association Diploma in Anti-Money Laundering or Compliance a bonus.
